We’re back with the second episode of the New Old Ways podcast. This time, I talk about some of Crooked Mouth’s recent adventures, play a recording of a new cover song, and then interview my friend Ugnius Liogė, director of the Mėnuo Juodaragis festival.
Ugnius and I talk about what it was like being into extreme music in the days of the USSR, underground culture in Lithuania in the 90s, his record label, Dangus, the beginning of MJR, thoughts about the future, and the importance of continuing on with cultural impulses during times of uncertainty.

Transmitting from Vilnius, Lithuania, to the far reaches of the cosmos, welcome to the first episode of the New Old Ways podcast!
On this show I lay out my idea for the podcast, play some music, and interview Agota Zdanavičiūtė, a wonderful musician from Vilnius, about Lithuania's national instrument, her music and creative process, and we talk about life, culture, identity, having a place to call home, and more.
I hope you will let me know what you think of this episode, and please, share what you might like to hear covered in upcoming episodes. I will certainly talk to more musicians, but I plan on speaking with esotericists, teachers, writers, etc.
